'Blended' OT System Doesn't Fly Under FLSA, 4th Circ. Says

The Fourth Circuit ruled Friday that a fire investigation company violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by using a compensation system that illegally combined some workers’ regular hourly pay rate with their overtime rate, letting stand a $1.6 million judgment in favor of the U.S. Department of Labor.
